During the pandemic lockdowns in 2020 I started playing Dungeons and Dragons for the first time. The mechanics of tabletop roleplaying games took a while for me to warm up to but the idea of character creation took hold more quickly. I started sketching high-fantasy female heroines and designing outfits and equipment for them.

With TTRPGs, players will often create a drawing or figurine of their character after they have done the work to determine their personality and attributes. This book is designed to work in the opposite way. Anyone with a copy of this book can flip through it to pick a character that resonates with them and then work backwards to figure out who she is in the context of their story.
